Beckman Coulter, Inc. is a leading manufacturer of biomedical testing instruments and associated supplies that simplify and automate laboratory processes. Beckman has been using the AMAPS family of products since 1978. Beckman started with AMAPS/3000 (HP3000 based) and AMAPS/Q (Mainframe Based), and more recently has been using AMAPS+PLUS. "We thought we were very aggressive when we set a goal of an additional half million dollars in inventory reduction. We were quite pleasantly surprised to see that we exceed this by almost 50%".
Dade Behring Corporation
Dade Behring, with 2004 revenues of nearly $1.6 billion, is the world's largest company dedicated solely to clinical diagnostics. AMAPS, which was originally implemented when the operations were still owned by E.I. DuPont, is now being used at Dade plants in Delaware, Connecticut, and California.
Invacare
Invacare is the industry leader in home care medical products. Invacare provides products such as wheelchairs and other mobility aids, home care beds, low air loss therapy products, bath safety products, and patient transport equipment. Invacare began implementing AMAPS in their HP3000 data center in 1990 and uses AMAPS to plan production and procurement in all eight of their domestic plants.

Johnson & Johnson is the world's most comprehensive and broadly based manufacturer of health care products and related services for the consumer, pharmaceutical, medical device, and diagnostics markets. J & J began implementation of AMAPS in its manufacturing facilities in the mid 1980’s and has subsequently used it to plan and control inventories and production and to provide FDA-required lot traceability in its McNeil Labs (Tylenol), Ortho Pharmaceuticals, Ortho Clinical Diagnostics and Ortho Biotech operations.

Bayer is among the top three global suppliers of nonprescription medicines. Bayer began their implementation of AMAPS in the mid 1980’s in their domestic plants, and subsequently implemented the AMAPS products in their UK and European plants.
GlaxoSmithKline
GlaxoSmithKline is one of the world's leading research-based pharmaceutical companies. GlaxoSmithKline leads in four major therapeutic areas: anti-infectives, central nervous system (CNS), respiratory and gastro-intestinal/metabolic. GlaxoSmithKline first implemented AMAPS in their largest production facility, located in Zebulon, NC, in 1986 and subsequently implemented additional AMAPS+PLUS modules in 2002.

Roche first implemented AMAPS to control manufacturing and comply with FDA regulations in its domestic Hoffman-La Roche facilities in the eastern United States, and then subsequently implemented AMAPS in its European operations.

Schering-Plough is a global pharmaceutical company providing prescription, consumer and animal health products. Schering has been using AMAPS for over 20 years to plan and control their manufacturing and purchasing and to provide lot traceability.
Warner-Lambert
Warner-Lambert, now part of Pfizer, was a leading international manufacturer of prescription pharmaceuticals, consumer healthcare products, as well as gums and mints. Starting in the early 1980's, Warner-Lambert implemented AMAPS in all its plants throughout the United States and Canada to provide lot traceability, and to plan and control their BOM inventory and plant scheduling.

Gillette Company
Gillette, an international company, is best known for its personal care products. In 1980 Gillette implemented AMAPS in its personal care, safety razor and Papermate plants. Gillette sought to reduce inventory, increase efficiency and provide better customer service. "Now, with AMAPS we can adjust our production schedule on a daily basis and adjust all items that affect that schedule on a daily basis."
Firestone
Firestone began managing its manufacturing activity with AMAPS in 1982. "AMAPS has assisted in the reduction of WIP and raw material inventories and at the same time we've seen an increase in throughput."
ADC Telecommunications
ADC provides both electromechanical and electronics products to the telecommunications industry. ADC installed AMAPS software in 1980 to help control a diverse manufacturing environment consisting of 25 major product lines and 5000 end items. The Allen-Bradley Division of Rockwell Automation is a world-leading producer of programmable controllers and variable speed motors. Allen Bradley has been using AMAPS to plan and control their North American manufacturing operations for over 20 years.
Spraying Systems
Spraying Systems Co. is the world's leader in spray technology, offering a wide variety of nozzles, controls, spray analysis and spray fabrication. Spraying Systems initially implemented AMAPS in 1982 in their Wheaton, Illinois plant, and then subsequently implemented AMAPS in their plants around the globe. In 2002, they upgraded to AMAPS/Q, and are currently in the process of migrating to AMAPS+PLUS in their international plants and will be using it in three different languages.
General Dynamics Land Systems (GDLS)
GDLS, a subsidiary of General Dynamics Corporation, designs, manufactures and supports land and amphibious combat systems for the U.S. Army, the U.S. Marine Corps and allied nations. The Stryker armored vehicle is manufactured in their London, Ontario plant which has been using AMAPS since 1983 to plan, control and cost their operations. They originally used AMAPS on the HP 3000, then migrated to AMAPS/Q operating on an IBM mainframe in the late 1980’s.
